The Story of Firedog Fab
It all started with a fire. Sitting by his outdoor hearth, Scott Hannon realized he couldn't find the right andirons to match the quality and charm of his fireplace. The ones he came across were flimsy and lacking that special touch. So, Scott did what any true craftsman would—he built his own. Before long, friends gathered around his fire and took notice. "Where'd you get those?" they asked. And that's how Firedog Fab was born.
News of Scott's custom andirons spread like wildfire, and soon, he found himself crafting for friends. Each piece was handcrafted with the same care he put into his own, and it wasn't long before high-quality fireplace baskets, fireplace tool sets, log racks, and decorative pieces joined the lineup. What began as a personal project evolved into a family business. Scott's two boys, Jack and Sam, are now working alongside him, carrying on the tradition of Southern craftsmanship.
This sense of family and tradition is woven into every piece we create, making you a part of our legacy. Today, every piece from Firedog Fab is made to order, hand-forged with pride and precision, just as Scott intended from the beginning. Despite the business's growth, the essence of it remains unchanged—creating timeless, custom pieces that transform every fireplace into a gathering spot for family and friends. Scott looks forward to passing this craft down to his boys and their families, ensuring the fire keeps burning for generations.
